Welp....lets revisit this ipad deal.

So....its been quite a few days now since this "New iPad" has been unveiled. And when we were all waiting for the next generation iPad? We've been fed this in between variant. Now if I truly have loyal readers, Which I guess I have a few, you'll remember that I predicted an in between variant of the device leading tablet. Consumers did not expect such a thing as the stock plummeted that day but returned to normal... but let's discuss this. Shall we?

Now the most interesting thing is on twitter ive received a couple questions about what I think of the "The New iPad". And I must say im very disappointed in what apple has pushed on us. I knew that there would be am in bewtween variant of the iPad and the HD moniker, is very flattering but sadly it isn't offering too much past the screen. Yes, it slightly bumped the specs of the graphics cores and provided a stronger rear sensor...but lets be honest. Unless you truly have children who play games on your ipad...or you use your iPad largely for media? This isn't the ipad for you. The processing is the same, but I guess the retina screen is a plus especially with the bump in graphics cores. And they pushed the same sensor technology thats on the iPhone 4s into this new iPad so I guess that all makes sense. Reports have been coming that pre orders have been very well, so I believe the general public loves this idea, but for the more tech enthused individuals such as myself? Its just another tablet in the pool. The 4g works fine im sure but....it isn't the quad core device we all hoped it'd be.

Now more rumors have still been floating around for the smaller iPad which I just still would put my money on will arrive by the end of the second quarter this year. Now will it have its own retina screen? Im not sure seeing as to how this new iPad costs 320$ to produce the device....so bottom line profit for the 16gb variant is 179$ which is pretty slim for the producers ....you have to factor in the cuts that they would owe other companies who went into producing the tablet. But let's revisit apple device history one last time shall we?

The original iPod? Had the ipod mini/Nano moniker....at the time the cheapest iPod was 229$ I believe and the Nano cut that by about 50$ or so with a smaller/slimmer form factor and less memory... Even smaller than that were the iPod shuffles which cutting the price to 99$ now the shuffles came out with the branding small, but still apple branded. 1St Gen shuffles were 512mb and 1gb if I remember but thats what the shuffle was about...plug it up shuffle random music on it and go on about your day as usual. And we know as far as iPods the rest are well known....one of the most recent being the new touch screen Nano crossing with the latest shuffle build. Which is beautiful. The iPhone kept the rebirthing process going with the 3g to the 3gs...and the 4 to the 4s both always offering bump in specs...but what doesn't apple have is the smaller iPad ... give us a 7 inch tablet on 8gb and 16gb flavors...if you want to provide the retina screen you can. But its a 7 inch slate, smaller real estate you won't have to press the pixels into the screen if it isn't needed. A nice clear LCD screen would most definitely suffice. Dont pay to much attention to the camera unless you want to...I guess the 5mp would be fine but...you have to maximize profit, and consumer affordability....im just surprised that my prediction was true .... even if it wasn't true if this select device....im still concerned about apples stock for the exact future due to how man court battles they are still in, but they're a strong company they can come out on top of all the battles...just stay tuned to what may happen.
