Quad core chips...and lte

Well as the time approaches for the galaxy s3 reveal...I spoke on it in my last article. But this article is dedicated to it. Quad core chips and the lack of lte integration (so far). I just scrubbed the web a little bit looking at a few major companies, or at least the major companies for devices that land on our side of the pond. I stills arrived with no answer. Everyone's roadmap says end of the year, with no further information of lte integration, even with the s3 launching today, we're still uncertain if there are 2 versions, or if it even carries the amazing quad core exynos in the first place.

I would like to say this. Eventually developers will get it right, they'll find the missing link between lte and 4 cores. And with everyone's quad chips landing after samsungs, If they don't get it correct everyone else will try where they dropped the ball. Qualcomm, and the snapdragon line says q4 this year for their quad core chip to land in a device, as does Texas instruments and their line of Knapp processors. Even with 4 cores becoming the new premium. Omap and Samsung have dual core chips in line on the new arm cortex a15 architecture. Im just beyond stoked to see what these can do as a9 have been the leading architecture for quite a while now. And I can see omap knocking it out the park (lets not forget its an omap chip inside the great galaxy nexus). Texas instruments even went into the amazon kindle fire, and we know how consumers fell in love with that. So imagine of ti drops the omap with a15 besides the exynos with a15....it'll be a battle of whatever devices will tote these chips. A battle I would love to sit back and watch (or test by that time) This isn't happening until the end of the year but ill dream weekly of it.

We know those chips will tote lte, that'll be a given but the developers need to get lte on the quad core chips as even smaller carriers are jumping onto lte. The world is moving into 4g and chips need to keep up...so far I feel they may be a tad behind as we've been speaking on the 4core generation for a while now, yet we only have 1 phone with 4 cores, and it isn't even on this side of the ocean. I pray Samsung get this right and has lte on 4 cores instead of reverting back to the snapdragon s4....I would love to see Samsung make all the profit and not have to share at all...That's selfish of me I understand. But think of it this way the s4 is in the American version of the one x...and we all know that will sell like hotcakes. I want the battle of the new 2 superphones to be of two different chips...not just 2 separate devices. Where is the fun in that?
