Sony made moves...Oh really?

Yes i deeply apologize guys as i realize its been quite a while since I've published something....Over a month to be exact. I had been making moves towards a new laptop and i finally purchased one, so now i can connect back more with you guys on twitter, and post more articles, and the article im going to come back with? Some opinions on the Sony, and their mobile division...We know that Sony has released the Ps Vita and i dont remember how well its selling (thats Solely My fault) but the one thing that is unsettling to me is, the release of their latest handset, the Xperia Ion. It released with the older snapdragon s3 processor.

Now lets not be wrong, it does have a beautiful screen boasting HD capabilities...But it seems they shot themselves in the foot releasing a phone after the sIII and the One x that still boasts an older chip. Yes the s3 is still solid but it isn't going to blow these devices  out of the water or even strike fear in their hearts, even the device being rooted and having special kernels. Sony is trying to rebuild themselves after the split from Ericsson and the devices they've released (aside from the Tablet s and tablet y) haven't fared too well. Now i understand the ion has a sub 100$ price tag on it (of course with 2 years of your soul sold to the devil) But honestly with way better devices out ther, who wants this device?

The mobile division of sony needs to smash the scene, quick, hard, and efficiently. They need to take the consumer scene by storm. The pitch of the tablet series being the official sponsor of the grammys happened to be absolutely genius of a move. i haven't seen the sales of the tablets since the grammys but from the viewpoint of the consumer? Watching the promo for both devices definitely piqued my interest in the devices...but the downfall, aside from the lack of ics, is the fact that there is too much sony integration software...Yes it can be a remote for your sony tv, or your ps3...But even Microsoft and the xbox 360 is integrating controls over all mobile operating systems. SO i believe Sony needs to pull a rabbit out of their hat, and soon...otherwise they will fall in the sub par pit of android devices. honestly for sony? I do not want to think that.
